    Hi Kekana,

There is a suggestion floating around that we make our Club Championship a
    medal, rather than IPS.

Could we maybe throw the idea out there and assess how widespread is the
    feeling among bonafide Rennaissance members.

Please, people don't bite my head off if you dont agree. Just express an
opinion, thats all I am asking for.

    Your humble servant,

    Machaba 'a mamoraba.

    Malose Mokgohloa <mokgohd@gmail.com> Oct 25 05:22PM +0200

I think IPS is more exciting and status quo
should remain. Everyone has a chance but
I suggest Committee should validate handicaps
just before tee off, again just a suggestion.

    Let's here the masses!

    Tubatsana Monareng <tubatsana@gmail.com> Oct 25 05:25PM +0200

I am of the IPS wafa wafa idea especially because the other championship is
being decided on medal. We need to give those good on IPS and those good on
Medal equal opportunity to win a cup.

    Colleagues

We have 10 Four Balls booked at Zwartkop on Sunday 20 November 2011.

This game was supposed to accommodate 5 Wood in our busy annual
programme. It however seems like 5 Wood are not as organised as the
time Robbie Moabi was arranging games for them.

I suggest that we invite another group to play against on the day. We
can't afford to lose the slot. 20 players each.

    Suggestions please!!!!!

    Dear Colleagues

Our November 2011 Medal game has been moved from Dainfern on 6th
November 2011 to Silver Lakes at 12H18 on Sunday 13 November 2011.

We had initially booked 7 x 4 balls at Dainfern under Venus Africa.
Unfortunately due to a high golf season demand, Daifern requires Venus
to make an upfront payment of R350 x 28 players. Due to dwindling Order
of Merit Medal Game participation, Venus Africa cannot take that chance.
Silver Lakes is charging us R200 per player. We have only booked 5 x 4
balls at Silver Lakes. All our "ROCK UP & PLAY FRIENDS" have to make an
effort to confirm on time this time.

First preference will be given to the 15 top players still in the
running for the top 10 in the Order of Merit.

Sorry for the inconvenience that might arise.

    Kind Regards.

    Special announcements by President Zuma

    24 October 2011

I have a few announcements to make. These relate to changes to the
National Executive of Government, the Commission of Inquiry into the
Strategic Defence Procurement Packages and the matter relating to the
    National Police Commissioner.

I have decided to make the following changes to the National Executive.

    1. Ms Dina Pule, currently the Deputy Minister for Performance
Monitoring and Evaluation, has been appointed Minister of
    Communications.
    2. Mr Thembelani "Thulas" Nxesi, the Deputy Minister for Rural
Development and Land Reform, will become the new Minister of Public
Works. The Department will no longer have a Deputy Minister.
    3. Minister Richard Baloyi, the Minister of Public Service and
Administration, has been appointed Minister of Cooperative Governance
    and Traditional Affairs.
    4. Mr Roy Padayachie, the Minister of Communications, is to take over
the Public Service and Administration portfolio.
    5. Mr Obed Bapela, the Deputy Minister of Communications, has been
appointed Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Performance Monitoring
    and Evaluation.
    6. Ms Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, the Deputy Minister of Public Works,
will be the Deputy Minister for Women, Children and Persons with
    Disability.

cooperative governance and traditional affairs, has been appointed as
Deputy Minister for Rural Development and Land Reform.
    8. ANC Member of Parliament, Ms Thembisa Stella Ndabeni, will become the
    Deputy Minister of Communications.

I wish all the new Ministers and Deputy Ministers well in their
    portfolios.

We also extend our gratitude to the Ministers and Deputy Ministers who
have vacated their portfolios for their contribution to building a
    better life for all.

    Ladies and gentlemen,

On the 15th of September I announced that I would, in terms of section
84 (2) (f) of the Constitution, appoint a commission of inquiry to
investigate allegations of wrongdoing in the Strategic Defence
Procurement Packages, generally known as the "arms deal".

    I have appointed the Commission. The esteemed members are as follows;

    1. Honourable Mr Justice Willie Seriti, Judge of the Supreme Court of
    Appeal.
    2. Honourable Mr Justice Willem van der Merwe, Deputy Judge President of
    the North Gauteng High Court.
    3. Honourable Mr Justice Francis Legodi, Judge of the North Gauteng High
    Court.

Mr Justice Seriti will chair the Commission, which is expected to
complete its work within two years.

We wish Mr Justice Seriti and his team well in the execution of this
    important task.

    Ladies and gentlemen,

Section 9 (1) read with section 8 (1) to (8) empowers the President to
establish a Board of Inquiry into allegations of misconduct against the
National Police Commissioner, and make findings and recommendations as
    contemplated in section 8(6)(b).

In August, I informed the National Commissioner, General Bheki Cele, of
my intention to institute a Board of Inquiry to look into the
allegations of misconduct, in relation to the procurement of office
accommodation for the South African Police Service, as per the findings
and recommendations of the Public Protector.

I have established the Board of Inquiry. The esteemed members are as
    follows;

    * Ms Justice Yvonne Mokgoro (retired).
    * Advocate Terry Motau (SC).
    * Advocate Anthea Platt.

Ms Justice Mokgoro will chair the Board of Inquiry.

I have also decided to suspend the National Commissioner from duty with
immediate effect, pending the outcome of the inquiry, in terms of
section 8 (3) (a) read with Section 9 (1) of the South African Police
    Service Act.

He will, during the period of suspension, be entitled to his full
salary, allowances, privileges and benefits, in terms of Section 8(3)(b)
    of the Act.

Major General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi will act as National Commissioner until
    further notice.

    Ladies and gentlemen,

    I thank you.

The success and competitiveness of this country depends, to a large extent, on the intellectual capital of its future workforce, i.e. our children. The LimeLite Group is committed to making a difference through its involvement in community based initiatives especially the care of underprivileged children and the development of their critical skills. As part of the overall LimeLite Group CSI program we are committed to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children, and we humbly support the Florida Baby House.

The Florida Baby House offers safe and loving temporary accommodation and care for babies found abandoned, affected and/or infected with HIV/AIDS or released by their mothers with the view of adoption. They are transported weekly to the clinic and hospitals for various check-ups and inoculations. Florida Baby House can house up to 13 babies ranging from birth to two years and has 8 full-time child care workers plus one reliever, who work seven days on and seven days off. This means that at any time, there are at least two persons on duty. They are very dependent on the assistance from their local communities and volunteers to help make life a little easier for these little ones.
    [cid:image002.jpg@01CC88DA.11B9D060]

Florida baby house is an uMephi Project - The Villa Lubet Children's Home (UMephi) is a government subsidized Children's Village and has been in existence since 1977. It's a radical departure from the old institutional / dormitory consent. House parents as substitute parents, care for the children in houses or baby units in different areas of South Africa. There are 80 satellite houses in areas located where there is a need and close to support systems. Each home is specially equipped to give the special care every child needs. Every UMephi Home is supported and managed by a team that is trained and dedicated to give specialized and loving care. A household is usually under the care of a house parent couple, supported by a team of care givers as well as a group of volunteers from the community and local churches.

The LimeLite Group is actively involved with community development and with the various fashion shows, exhibitions, events and training services we provide in the West Rand, our aim is to raise both awareness and funds for the Florida baby House so that these babies can have a chance to grow and become young successful adults in the years to come.
    [cid:image008.jpg@01CC88DD.418336D0]

In order to assist this deserving charity the LimeLite Group will be holding a Charity Golf Day in order to maximise the awareness and raise much needed funding for the Florida Baby House.

The details of the Golf Day are as follows:

    Date: Wednesday, 30 November 2011

    Venue: Jackal Creek Golf Estate
