Title : Business Intelligence Developer
Location : San Francisco, CA
Duration : Full Time
Description
This is an engaging role for an experienced developer to work on development of the entire BI stack from DW design, to ETL development, OLAP, reporting and analytics. The primary responsibility is development of a reporting infrastructure for the Snapfish business unit including responding to complex ad hoc reporting and analysis requests. You will collaborate with business owners to develop information requirements, interact with architects and other BI engineers to design and develop analytic products.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
· Solid understanding of the Business Intelligence development lifecycle, including business and system requirements analysis, dimensional and relational data modeling, ETL, report creation and delivery and data validation
· Familiarity with Oracle 11i, Vertica, Hadoop
· Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
· Experience in a web retail business
· Documentation/definition of business requirements
· Work experience in an Agile development environment is a plus
· Must be able to handle and achieve completion on multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
· Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
· Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
· BS/MS in Computer Science or other technical field
· 5+ years of hands on experience in large scale DW development including data modeling, ETL, and performance tuning
· Expert proficiency in SQL. Some experience with Linux shell scripting.
· 3+ years of reports development experience using OLAP and reporting tools such as Spotfire, Business Objects, MS Analysis Services, or Tableau
