Title: Unix System Analyst
Location: Midwest USA (Lots of travel Midwest, all expenses paid)
Duration: 6+ months
Rate: $50/hr C2C
Job Description:
Must Have HP-UX
Manage Unix computer systems including network, operating systems, databases and the system side of the applications running on it. Manage these systems in accordance with the Service Level Agreement. Work with Senior Unix Administrators to achieve this goal if needed. Responsible for all Unix administration activities. Responsible for assuring system availability and performance of Unix systems. Provide support for customer problems and requests. Little daily supervision required. Install, update and maintain Applications, middleware, system management tools, operating systems and networks in the Unix environment, Responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Unix systems, Provide technical solutions for problems, Provide and maintain documentation such as System Operations Guides or Work Instructions describing local procedures, service level agreements, etc., Participate in medium to large projects, Able to effectively lead small internal projects, Use ISO9000 procedures to complete tasks, Perform all actions needed to fulfill the system management tasks described above.
