Job Description:
· At least 15 years' experience working with BI and EDW Data Warehouse using Teradata, Essbase, Oracle technologies
· Conduct research and make recommendations on BI products, services, and processes
· Produce guidelines and standards for BI solutions, manageability and maintainability within the organization
· Must have strong SQL, database design and ETL skills
· Troubleshoot BI problems and tune for performance.
· Diagnose and resolve application bottlenecks and performance issues.
· Define and enforce coding standards, design styles and best practices
Skillset:
· BI/Data Warehouse architect with more than 10 years of experience architecting DW solutions
· DW/Database: Teradata, Essbase, Oracle, SQL
· ETL: Abinitio, BODS
· Reporting: BOBJ
Activities:
· Resource must be able to design new database architectures
· Resource must be able to trouble shoot and identify problem areas and recommend solutions
· Resource must be able to understand business needs, and to create requirements based on those needs
· Configure and optimize the BI environment - relational, OLAP layers, and data migration extract transform and load processes.
· Define BI framework model, semantic layers and Metadata repositories to support reporting and administration.
· Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into proposed long term solutions.
· Collaborate with IT team members as well as functional business and operations personnel.
