Serial rapists on the loose

Police are searching for two serial rapists operating in Gauteng who
between them have allegedly raped 22 girls and women in the past four
months.
This emerged yesterday at a media briefing at the Gauteng provincial
headquarters.
Police say one serial rapist wears 1980s-style wigs and dark sunglasses,
and operates only on Sundays. The other rapist uses his father's taxi,
picking up unsuspecting female passengers and taking them to a field.
Operating separately, they have trapped girls and women from Alexandra
to Vanderbijlpark. They are also suspected of involvement in cases in
Potchefstroom, North West.
In one instance, a girl as young as eight was lured, raped and left in a
field to find her own way home.
The police's disclosures come just weeks after Mlungisi Mtshali - an
alleged serial rapist now facing eight charges of rape, kidnapping and
robbery - was arrested, and follows an announcement that the Family
Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences units would now be
reintroduced at cluster level.
Police have released three identikits one of one man, above and two
of a second man, below, who they believe could assist with their
investigations.
