Job description:
minimum 10 years of workers compensation industry experience
creates detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications.
performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritize and schedule deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
The Business Analyst will provide professional services to support the long term IT strategy and planning to include high level analysis, professional reports and presentations, and mentoring, support and training.
The tasks for the Business Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Creates detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and translate it into functional specifications.
• Acts as the expert in all aspects of Business Analysis.
• Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritize and schedule deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
• Participates in Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.
• Participates in proposal development including estimation and client presentations.
• Attends and contributes to project meetings.
• Ensures that all project documentation is produced in the standard format, that it follows internal documentation processes and is reviewed and approved prior to delivery to State Fund.
• Participates in problem and issue resolution.
• Promotes high quality, scalability, and timely completion of project timelines.
The Business Analyst shall possess the following qualifications:
• Promotes high quality, scalability, and timely completion of project timelines.
• Coordinate with business and IT to ensure accurate business requirements captured.
• Work closely with project manager to clearly define requirements scope and manage change requests.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Comfortable working in a flexible Agile development environment.
