CP,
I hope all is well.
I'm in a quandary and I need urgent help to find my way. This is my dilemma: There was a Medal Match at Benoni CC to replace the "5 Wood Match" - so, what is the Status on the Houghton GC and Pretoria West GC Matches; are they still on respectively?
Please assist???????????????

Thanks Godfrey
Watch out for the snakes at the south coast. Last time Tubatsana was on a golfing trip at Leopard Creek, he was chased by a snake upon arrival. He was so traumatized that I beat him for four consecutive games. I continued doing so when we arrived back to Jozi until he managed to stop the rout on Sunday at Benoni Country Club.
Enjoy my brother.

The Rennaissance monthly medal is takiung place at Pretoria West aka pretoria golf club this Sunday. The Super Shongwe charity golf day takes place at the same golf course on friday. It costs R500 per player including, Golf shirt, cap, half way, dinner, prize giving with generous prizes and is played on a better ball format. It is a heavily spoinsored golf day. I have spoken to Chairman and Captain and this friday we are not orgainsing any golf in support of this golf day. I wil coordinate our four balls. Kindly let me know by end of day tomorrow. I will therefore make arrangements and pay for the players who confirm. The players will therefore reimburse me when we meet.

Briefly the following is about who we are and what we do:

·
The “Super Shongwe Memorial and Charity” is four
years old launched on the 25 May 2008 with its first Golf Day.

·
The annual golf day is presented by the Super Shongwe Memorial
and Charity in association with the Callies Social Golf Club, which has most of
its members coming from Atteridgeville. The event has been named “Super
Shongwe Memorial and Charity Golf Day” to honour the memory of one of the
great sons of Atteridgeville, the late Bra Super Shongwe, who was not only a
keen golfer and founder member of Black Rock Golf Club and Pretoria Callies
Football Club, but was also in many ways, charitable to the needy in Atteridgeville
during his lifetime.

·
The Golf Day raises funds to assist needy registered community
based organisations in Atteridgeville. Four Atteridgeville community based
organisations and a social golf club have already benefitted by a total amount
of about R 210 000.00 to meet their dire needs since 2008, namely, Metheo
Ya Setshaba Day Care Centre, Vutomi Organisation for Older Persons,
Atteridgeville Association for People with Disabilities (aka Lebuwe Centre),
Kingdom Life Children’s Centre and Callies Social Golf Club. See
attachment 2 for profile of the beneficiary community organisations and
their funding.

·
Since 2011, the Super Shongwe Memorial and Charity Golf confers
Lifetime Achievement Awards to honour unsung sporting heroes and heroines who made
sterling contribution to any form of major sports in their own unique and
significant involvement or participation in Atteridgeville over an appreciable
recognisable period of their lives. We are proud to announce that our first
esteemed recipient of this glorious crown, is a renowned physical fitness
fanatic, boxer, athlete, golfer and footballer, Ntate Nkope Solomon Monedi,
popularly known as “Uncle Nipa”, now in his eighties.

·
The 2012 event marks the fourth charity fundraising occasion to
be hosted on Friday the 25 May 2012 at the Pretoria West Club from 10.00 and
will be followed at 18.00 by a Prize-giving Dinner and the Lifetime Achievement
Award ceremony.

·
It is our fervent wish that if funds were permitting,
additional indigent community organisations could be identified to reach out to
many more equally deserving beneficiaries. A target amount of R 100 000.00
is hoped to be raised at the 2012 event

·
All seven members of the organizing committee work voluntarily
to ensure that 100% of funds raised are utilized to bring relief to and uplift
the beneficiary CBOs directly.

Kind Regards
Diane Mark

Govt IT officials sent packing from Parliament
May 23 2012 at 08:39am
By Deon de Lange

SIYABULELA_DUDA
Sindi Chikunga
State IT Agency (Sita) officials were again ejected from a parliamentary
committee meeting on Tuesday when their top managers failed to pitch up
and those present were deemed ill-prepared to face questions.
For the second year in a row, police committee chairwoman Sindi Chikunga
(ANC) sent the officials packing after expressing "disgust" and
"disappointment" over the fact that the agency and the police had not
sorted out their long-running feud before appearing at the meeting.
She warned both parties that she would not allow the committee to serve
as a "bargaining chamber" for the police and Sita to sort out their
differences.
The working relationship between the organisations has deteriorated over
the past three or four years as failed projects, cost overruns,
implementation snags and long delays have prompted them to point fingers
at one another.
After hearing that top Sita managers had not shown up for the meeting -
and that the police were seeing the Sita presentation on work being done
for the police for the first time during the meeting - the chairwoman
lost her patience and sent the officials packing while the committee
deliberated on the way forward.
After a 10-minute break, MPs agreed not to continue in the absence of
Sita bosses and called the lower-ranking officials back into the room to
be read the riot act.
"We have taken a decision... not to continue this meeting - and to
express our disgust, as a committee, in the manner in which both SAPS
and Sita are conducting themselves," Chikunga said.
We will never allow a situation where this committee is used as a
bargaining chamber between a service provider and the client. We
therefore will not allow this to happen again."
The Sita's previous appearance before the committee, in September, came
to the same end. Officials were sent away and told not to return before
they had sorted out their problems with the police and not before both
entities had entered into service level agreements as required by law.
Committee members were exasperated to hear that, once again, the SAPS
and the Sita had failed to sign these agreements for the current
financial year - and that no meeting appeared to have taken place
between the two to iron out their differences.
ANC MP and committee member Annelize van Wyk noted that "year after year
after year" the committee had to listen to the Sita and the police
pointing fingers and offering excuses for their "dysfunctional"
relationship, but little progress appeared to have been made.
"We are not the negotiators between the Sita and the SAPS and they need
to sort their houses out. If SAPS and Sita can't get their act together,
then I think the time has come for this committee to take some serious
action," she suggested.
Other committee members agreed.
Chikunga announced that her committee would be writing to the ministers
of police and public service and administration - who oversees the Sita
- respectively, urging them to intervene in the matter.
Sita - essentially the government's IT service provider of choice - is a
statutory body established by an Act of Parliament in 1999. It is
mandated to "consolidate and co-ordinate the state's information
technology resources in order to achieve cost savings through scale,
increase delivery capabilities and enhance interoperability".
However, when the agency fails, citizens suffer because many government
departments are heavily dependent on the Sita for the services it
provides to the public.
The police rely on Sita to host their financial system, criminal
administration, criminal records, business intelligence, document
management and firearms management systems.
A major portion of the police's R3.6 billion-a-year technology
management services budget goes to Sita and constitutes a significant
slice of the country's IT services market, estimated at about R36bn last
year.
The auditor-general recently found that Sita was responsible for the
largest share of R1.9bn in irregular expenditure among state entities
last year.
The agency was found to have inadequate contract management, unfair
procurement practices, and was among a host of state entities which had
awarded tenders to government officials and their immediate family
members. Sita projects for the police alone amount to R1.5bn for the
current financial year.
"(This) is a great deal of money and we need to know exactly how the
department (of police) intends to spend it," Chikunga said.

Whites suffer from the black men penis envy White people have been and
continue to write about black people. They caricature, cartoon,
describe, define, demean, portray us in any form they desire to their
own amusement. They call us names, liken us to animals, treat us as
animals, feed us to animals, give us animal food, regard us lesser
subjects then their animals. Blacks remain objects of white ridicule.
White men in particular suffer from the "black men penis envy". Whereas
white women were made by apartheid to suffer from "black man penis
fear". Besides neo-Nazism (the highest form of white superiority
complex), the much talked-about artist, Murray, suffers from this "black
man penis envy". He prays on what African philosophers call the "myth of
the black libido". That is the sociology of this art by Murray. It is
time "Africa writes back". We must express all that we feel about white
people, draw images that are politically and socially constructed. They
must know how we feel about their sexuality (we really have less regard
for it), their racism, their fondness for dogs, their "black man penis
envy", their greed, their neo-Nazism. We must sing about white people,
white poems and books about them. Study them anthropologically. For once
white people must become a subject and enquiry and an object of
scrutiny, just as Africans have been since the white men set foot in
Africa. The research agenda is set maqabane. Let the ball roll...
I celebrate the 2 men who "worked" on Bratt Murray's art (The Spear)
this morning. These men are real national artists. They have added new
dimension to the painting. Conservatives and liberals are outranged,
wrongfully, because for them this painting was always a political
statement (which affirmed their prejudices against the ANC & its
President), not just a creative expression. These 2 men are ...national
heroes. What they did is what must happen to all works of art: art must
never be complete, never static; but always dynamic - as much as our
comprehension of the arts must always be - dynamic. The painting is now
worth 5 times what is was worth last night - thanks to the 2 creatives
who painstakingly and diligently dynamised the piece today. We must make
a call for their immediate release and inauguration into the Hall of
Fame at the new Wits Arts Gallery. I am sure artistic giants like Gerald
Sekoto, Pitika Ntuli and W Serote will share my sentiment in this
regard.
