Position:  VMware Infrastructure Engineer

Location:  Seattle, WA

Duration: 12+ Months

 

 

 

Position Purpose

To assist with supporting existing VMware (ESX 5.5) environment. To assist with all activities around the migration of workloads running on VMWare to Hyper-V. This will include planning, testing, implementation and execution of the virtualization workload migration project. To provide support into any issues that arise with the existing VMWare infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in daily operations, troubleshooting, monitoring and support of existing VMware and Hyper-V cloud environments. Assist in the planning, testing and implementation of VMware to Hyper-V migration. 

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

-       VMware experienced (ESX 5.5, vShpere, VCOPS)

-       Basic Hyper-V familiarity (Existing team will provide HV training if required)

-       Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Server a plus

-       Basic networking skills

-       Operational experience working in IT infrastructure

-       Experience providing IT support

 

Minimum years of experience

-       3 years
