Position: SSRS Developer
Location: Greensboro NC
Duration: Long Term
ONLY US CITIZEN AND GREEN CARD
The person in this position will be responsible for working with clients and internal staff to create and implement all requested reports. The reports will be written using SSRS, and displayed in Supplier Portal application. The data for the reports is stored in Microsoft SQL Server in separate databases, and will be pulled into Supplier Portal for reporting purposes. The reporting specialist will work with the data owners to create and automate the ETL process to pull this information into Supplier Portal.
This role will require creating dynamic SQL queries to retrieve the data based on user input. It could also require working with R&D to create any needed database objects such as summary tables or indexes to support performance.
The person in this position will be responsible for the report design, SQL ETL process, report creation in SSRS, and working with R&D to implement the reports into Supplier Portal ( .net application).
Required Skills:
Client Requirements Gathering and Interaction
o Work with clients to define the requirements of each report
o Create mock-up drafts of the reports, presenting them first to management then to the clients for approval
o Demonstrate reports to clients explaining report features and value.
Creation of SQL queries
o Create ETL process to retrieve data for the reporting database.
o Creating dynamic SQL queries to retrieve the data for reports based on user input.
Report Creation
o Use SSRS to create the needed reports.
o Report features may include but not limited to: drill through capability, grouping expansion, default and user defined sorting, data indicators to highlight areas of interest to end users, variable driven report output, default and user derived report parameters
Apex Supplier Portal
o Work with staff to implement the reports and display them using the Supplier Portal product.
o Experience with LINQ queries is a plus.
Nice to have:
4+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL server
2+ years of experience working with SSRS reporting
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Excellent customer-facing skills
