Position: OBIEE Business Systems Analyst III( With Control M)

Location: McLean VA

Duration: Long Term

 

 

Job Description:

Manager works in Global Finance and is the Project Owner on GFIT. It is a data and tech project in finance where they are setting up a centralized solution across the company. They are moving to a prodcut by ORACLE - OFSAA (out of the box product). OFSAA is a suite of applications (previously named OFSA) for the Financial Services industry. Nothing to do with OBIEE. OFSAA = Oracle Financial Services Analytical Appliations. Ths suite has the following modules: Funds Transfer Pricing, Profitability Management, Assets and Liability Management and Balance Sheet Plannig. There are two additional products built over OBIEE for reporting/analysis of the OFSAA results: ALM Analytics and Profitability Analytics.

 

They do not have to have OFSAA experience.

 

All finance data will be downstreamed to new project. Manager has two hats: Sourcing data and moving downstream and also responsible for a team that is making sure that the data is quality and GL reconcilliation work. The project is building a solution and than the team will maintain what has been build.

 

Role: Contractor will primarily be working on the BAU team (maintain the house). Working day to day monitoring data quality processes, data quality issues identified will communicate up and down stream to remediate issues and understand impact for downstream reporting, process improvement, figuring out how to automate a lot of work since it is a manual side, GL Recon-comparing and investing, partnering with 3 delivery teams, to date they have sourced a lot of the data already, the person will be involved in what new stuff is coming down the road and integrating into the day to day operations.

 

SKILLS NEEDED:

OBIEE Reporting and/or Tableau (nice to have), Writing SQL Scripts, how data moves from source to source (Abinito environment/Hadoop environments), Control M, Batch Processes, Finance Knowledge is a must since customers or FAs, Modules: LCR (daily calculation), Regulatory reporting module, AGILE/Kanban/Scrum experience

 

At a high level I'm interested in someone with strong communication, analytics, and process management skills.  From a technical side…SQL, data model, Tableau, Excel, and a general technical aptitude.

Position Highlights:

The Global Finance Information Transformation (GFIT) program within Capital One is looking for a data quality, process improvement, and technical process owner.  GFIT is a project to create a centralized data solution to streamline financial and regulatory reporting at Capital One.

 

Responsibilities may include:

- Manage BAU data quality monitoring processes – monitoring systematic data quality processes, research and explain differences, and work with upstream data providers and sources to remediate issues as appropriate

- Represent the team in Line of Business (LOB) projects impacting the platform with a primary focus on projects that impact sourced data and the data quality processes

- Partner with Risk and IT partners to build new and enhance existing data quality rules

- Partner with peers on the project delivery teams to implement new consistent data quality routines for newly sourced data and for new use cases

- Periodically communicate data quality status to leadership, stakeholders, upstream data providers, and downstream data consumers

- Ensure appropriate process controls are in place and participate in periodic internal and external audits

- Ensure compliance with enterprise data management policies and standards

 

An ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative and analytical skills with strong innovation, problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities are critical for success to develop collaborative partnerships with various points of contact and teams
