The client seeks an Splunk Security Analyst to join the (CISO) security operations team. Candidate must have specific experience using Splunk to identify possible security vulnerabilities or events. Candidate must then be able to track down root cause of these events and work with CIRT team to bring these events to remediation.
Note: Resource must be onsite in Raleigh, NC. No remote work.
Required Skills: • BS/BA in related discipline Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related Math or Science discipline. In addition to 5+ years of experience in any related Information Technology field. Will consider additional related industry experience in lieu of degree. • Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, specifically Splunk, and security event correlation. • 2 years Splunk experience, specifically Splunk 6 analytics. • Proven Security Operation experience, including using Splunk to analyze IDS, IPS, Firewall, Proxy, Server, Middleware and Database logs and events. • Must have excellent communication skills(written and verbal) and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management. Preferred Skills: • Experience in clustered Enterprise Splunk deployment • CISSP, Security +, or related information security certification. • PCI knowledge • CIRT experience
