JOB DESCRIPTION:
Java Developer with LifeRay experience. This resource will be LA-based. The job description lists quite a few technical capabilities, but the piece that is missing from the resource team we have pulled together is LifeRay, so that should be the focus (does not have to be devoted to LifeRay, but strong competencies in this tool are required).
Responsibilities:
· Creating quality custom software utilizing the Java software stack
· Work collaboratively with the development team and the broader client team which may include staff, contractors, the client, and third party vendors
· Work as part of an agile development team to develop products within the course of a sprint or release
· Participate in software design sessions with a software architect, building code using common software patterns, actively contribute expertise to solve problems and meet client needs
Requirement/Skills:
· 1-5 years experience software development ideally with several of the following: XML, Java, SQL, Ruby, LifeRay Portal
· A BS or MS in computer science, or equivalent, is expected
· Knowledge of Java stack and ecosystem of frameworks / components
· Knowledge of server side MVC frameworks such as Rails, Spring Framework.
· Knowledge of client side MVC frameworks such as AngularJS, NodeJS, Backbone and Knockout a plus
Experience:
· Experience with FE technologies like Html5, CSS3, Javascript a plus
· Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Oracle
· Strongly prefer prior experience in the healthcare setting
· Should have experience with Agile Development Methodology with experience in using Rally, Jira or any other Agile development tool
· At least 2 years experience in Ping Federate development and Server Administration, API Development, SAML development
