JOB ROLE: Project Manager (Financial AND Scrum EXP)
LOCATION: Richmond, VA
DURATION: Long Term
Max rate: $55/hr C2C
The Senior Systems Analyst (SA) is responsible for requirements, design, testing, implementation and helping to drive adoption of solutions. Solutions often include a software-systems development component and may also consist of process improvement, organizational change or strategic planning and policy development.
• Partner with business and technology to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements.
• Analyze; document processes, data and systems design; and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications.
• Full vendor management functions including selection, onboarding and on-going management.
• Good issue and problem resolution.
• Use iterative design and development techniques to communicate and document design (prototyping, modeling techniques such as unified modeling language, etc.).
• Utilize rigorous and disciplined project management planning and execution including defining goals and priorities, assigning tasks and monitoring work. The methodologies may differ based on the project and may include Agile, Waterfall, and/or a hybrid approach.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Minimum five years of experience in project/program management
• Demonstrated experience in in writing software requirements and test specifications (written and automated)
• Demonstrated strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards
• Ideal candidate has programming experience
• Experience in financial services is required (record keeping, fund complex, RIA, wealth management or broker dealer)
• Experience with Agile or Lean is a plus
Excellent Visio and MS Office skills
Experience with traditional project/program management practices such as estimation, budgeting, resource allocation, scope management, change management, risk management, escalation, etc
Experience with change management and training
Ability to plan, manage and deliver multiple projects on time
Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative, Lean)
Excellent written and verbal communications
Planning & Delivery - Can accurately scope out projects and work, anticipate & adjust for problems, measure performance against goals and evaluate results
Presentation Skills - Effectively plan and facilitate workshops and meetings; including prioritization activities
Change Agent - Comfort with and can lead through change
Problem Solving - Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
Interpersonal Skills - Outstanding ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail in business terms
Learning on the Fly - Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies and ability to learn quickly.
Negotiation and Influencing - Proven negotiation skills and ability to communicate with technical team to achieve desired outcome
Intellectual curiosity - Proven ability to question thought partners across functional areas
PMP, Scrum Master or Lean certifications is a plus
