29 MOOINOOI GC
Golfers
This is the end of the winter classic. We started at the end of June and
played Bryanston CC. Yesterday we played Mooinooi GC. Mooinooi is home to
the platinum classic, a sunshine tour event. Even in this winter of
discontent the green keepers put together a well maintained course with
beautiful fairways and championship level greens. A good turnout saw
Renaissance GC paint Mooinooi and indeed the Northwest province red. The
course was challenging hence the winner only netted at level par. The
practice round gave us the rude awakening of a tough course. The golf was
good, the speeches were short and the ladies and gentlemen charming. The
dancing did not stop until the early hours of the morning. A long convoy of
cars of mostly German origin joined the N4 en route to Gauteng. Renaissance
you have proved that you are the thunder amongst the clouds, the roar
amongst the Lions. I thank KG Sebesho, Tubatsana Monareng and Soso Mokhoka
for working with me to pull off the winter classic which also included the
Captain's 50th birthday invitational challenge.
I thank you all for good turnout at the said three events.
Peace.

Gents
I think I want to align myself with Masiza's input. Both sides are raising
critical issues:
1) Lets look at consistancy of performance in our game - if you are
consistant with us, why is your handicap high?
2) Lets have a committee though instead of one or two persons, this will
help create objectivity.
3) SAGA, this is an ideal that have to checks and balances - I know this
with my self, I shoot an 80 and the following game its 90; hence its
neither getting up or down - consistancy is therefore the only tool we may
have AND unfortunately we can measure that ONLY when we play together.
I don't think SAGA ONLY is the most fair approach, lets mix the two; that
is SAGA and how you play in our official games consistantly BUT the rule is
that we are not going to allow any handicap more than SAGA.
Regards

In keeping with Olympic spirit, me thinks some events at Olympics like Shooting & Fencing are so boring and spectators very few, even Chairman classic big brother
stories / 19th hole experiences will give them a run for their money.
