Job Description:
Job Summary
The Business Analyst (BA) works closely with business and technical stakeholders to elicit and define requirements for key projects driven by business priorities.
The BA meets with project sponsors and domain experts to gain a solid understanding to the problem(s) being addressed, identifies impacts, and works closely with teams to identify workable solutions.
The ideal candidate will have experience in telecom business and IT disciplines, and will be skilled at communicating with a variety of constituent audiences.
The successful candidate will be part of a highly productive fast paced agile organization responsible for both customer facing applications and backend systems.
Essential Job Functions
The job includes evaluating business and technical requests and decomposing requirements into functional requirement documents or user stories. The BA will work closely with the Development teams, Quality Assurance and Product Owners.
The BA will coordinate and perform product demonstrations at bi-weekly review meetings.
The successful candidate will be able to think through the proposed design, identify edge cases and suggest possible solutions.
Responsibilities also include testing completed stories to ensure they meet the requirements, assist QA when needed and respond to the day-to-day questions on feature functionality.
Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge, Software, Etc.)
· Excellent communication skills
· Proficient in Waterfall and Agile methodologies
· Proven results in contributing to front and back-end design and usability
· Proven ability to write both detailed functional requirements and user stories
· Proficient in Jira and Jira agile
Additional Skills (would like to have but not required)
· Hands-on experience with frontend test automation technologies (e.g. Selenium)
Education
· BS or MS in CS
